Project Framework:

Electric Eden was a brand identity project completed in partnership with a fellow student. The objective of the project was to build a full suite of brand assets for a fictional silent disco event, from visual identity and brand guidelines to attendee passes, advertising, wayfinding, merchandise, and a complete event app or website.

My role centred on the digital and physical touchpoints of the experience. I designed the event app in Figma, created tiered attendee passes, and developed merchandise. Together, my partner and I established the brand guidelines and built out a fictional lineup and event schedule to ground the identity in something tangible.
Brand Guidelines
My partner and I combined our ideas to create the logo for Electric Eden. The "E" icon is inspired by a sound equalizer, a visual representation of music and energy. The colour palette is vibrant and electric, inspired by biofluorescence in flowers.

Overall, the identity is retro-futuristic, rooted in 70's disco with a futuristic twist. Mauren, a font with a unique and distinctive appearance, felt like the natural choice to complement our rounded logo and floral illustrations.
Posters
To bring texture and warmth to the visual identity, my partner and I created organic textures by hand using paper, paint, and a photocopier. I brought these into Photoshop, applied gradient maps, and overlaid them across compositions to add depth and a human touch that purely digital work can't replicate. That analog layer runs through my poster and bumper sticker designs, grounding the electric aesthetic in something tactile.

Eden, our event mascot, reimagines a classical statue as the spirit of Electric Eden.
Event Passes & Wristbands

Attendee passes span both physical and digital touchpoints. Day passholders receive a compostable wristband colour-coded to their ticket upon entry, with digital passes housed in the event app. Each wristband features custom floral iconography designed by my partner Madeleine Paulhus, with tulip forms constructed from the "e" and "n" letterforms of the logo. For artists, volunteers, and VIP members, custom lanyards replace wristbands, using distinct colours for quick identification and displaying key information on both sides.
Silent Disco Headphones

Electric Eden's custom silent disco headphones let attendees tune into any of the three stages from anywhere in the park. Each channel is colour-coded to its stage: fuchsia for Cypress Stage, orange for Tigris Stage, and aqua for The Grove Mainstage. The headphones themselves change colour to match the active channel, making it easy to see at a glance which stage your group is listening to.
Event App

The event app serves as a complete companion to the Electric Eden experience. Users can browse the full lineup and daily schedule, navigate the park through a digitized map, access their digital ticket, and control their silent disco headphone channel directly through the app. An artist discovery page lets attendees explore performers and learn more about them ahead of the event.
Wayfinding

The event map was designed for nighttime legibility. A dark mode palette sets the scene while staying true to the brand identity, with stages highlighted in their corresponding channel colours and supporting structures rendered in soft midnight blue. Hierarchy was a key consideration: all map icons appear in an icy blue except for first aid, which is bright red for immediate visibility in an emergency.
Event banners are displayed throughout Prince's Island Park and extend into the downtown core, building atmosphere beyond the event grounds.
Merchandise

Merchandise extends the Electric Eden identity beyond the event. Bumper stickers bring the hand-crafted analog textures into a portable format, while floral pin sets come packaged in compostable materials with two identical pins intended to be shared. Collecting the full flower series lets guests build their own arrangement, encouraging connection and repeat purchase across the line.
